Effective date: 1 June 2026

Last updated: 27 April 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to customers, bakers, applicants, visitors, reviewers, and anyone else who uses the Cosycookie website, marketplace, seller tools, support channels, review features, or related services.

It is designed to protect the marketplace, customers, bakers, and the wider public from unsafe, unlawful, misleading, abusive, or technically harmful activity. Because Cosycookie is intended for the sale of food products, we apply stricter expectations to safety, authenticity, and listing accuracy than a general-content website would.

1. Lawful, honest, and safe use only

You must use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that is fair, accurate, safe, and compatible with the rights of others. You must not use Cosycookie in any way that could expose customers, bakers, recipients, or Cosycookie itself to avoidable food-safety, consumer-protection, privacy, fraud, or reputational risk.

You are responsible for ensuring that any information, images, listings, claims, reviews, messages, or other content you submit are accurate and lawful.

2. Unsafe, prohibited, and misleading food-related activity

You must not list or promote products that are unsafe, unlawful, contaminated, expired, badly stored, misleadingly labelled, or outside the product scope approved by Cosycookie. This includes products with inaccurate allergen information, unsupported vegan or free-from claims, misleading shelf-life information, hidden ingredients, or unsuitable dispatch methods.

You must not market products in a way that falsely suggests health benefits, medical benefits, official certification, regulatory approval, or suitability for allergy sufferers unless those claims can be substantiated and lawfully made.

3. Fraud, deception, and account misuse

You must not create false accounts, impersonate another person or business, use stolen or unauthorised payment methods, falsify verification documents, misstate your trading location, conceal material information, or otherwise mislead Cosycookie, bakers, customers, or payment providers.

You must not circumvent suspensions, create duplicate accounts to avoid enforcement, or use the platform for scams, chargeback abuse, or unauthorised resale of access or services.

4. Reviews, endorsements, and public feedback

Reviews and ratings must reflect genuine experiences. You must not submit fake reviews, review your own products or business under false identities, publish reviews in exchange for undisclosed incentives, coordinate misleading review campaigns, or pressure others to remove legitimate feedback.

If you receive a benefit, discount, free item, or other incentive connected with a review, that relationship must be disclosed where law or platform rules require it. Cosycookie may remove, label, or restrict reviews that appear false, manipulated, abusive, irrelevant, or otherwise incompatible with consumer protection rules.

5. Harassment, abuse, and unlawful content

You must not use the platform to threaten, harass, discriminate against, stalk, defame, intimidate, shame, or abuse any person. Offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or unlawful content is prohibited.

You must not publish confidential information, personal data, or imagery of another person without an appropriate lawful basis and the necessary permissions.

6. Data scraping, security interference, and technical misuse

You must not scrape, harvest, copy, mirror, spider, or systematically extract data from the website without written permission. You must not attempt to probe, scan, test, or bypass security measures, or interfere with the website’s availability, performance, or integrity.

Introducing malware, malicious scripts, deceptive redirects, spam links, credential theft techniques, denial-of-service activity, or any similar harmful behaviour is strictly prohibited.

7. Unauthorised communications and off-platform misuse

You must not send spam, unlawful direct marketing, chain messages, mass unsolicited contact, or repeated unwanted communications through or using information obtained from Cosycookie.

Vendors must not misuse customer contact data to divert orders off-platform, build independent marketing lists without consent, or pressure customers to transact outside approved channels where doing so breaches platform rules or consumer expectations.

8. Enforcement and reporting

Cosycookie may investigate suspected breaches of this policy and may take action proportionate to the risk involved. That action may include content removal, listing restriction, warning notices, account limitation, payout holds, order cancellation, suspension, permanent removal, evidence preservation, or referral to payment providers, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities.

A breach of this policy may also amount to a breach of our Terms of Service, Vendor and Baker Terms, Listing and Product Standards Policy, or other marketplace rules. We may rely on any of those documents together when deciding what action to take.

If you want to report suspected misuse, unsafe content, fake reviews, unlawful activity, or another policy breach, you should contact Cosycookie using the support details published on the website and provide enough detail for us to investigate fairly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, legal requirements, food-safety expectations, review rules, or security risks. The latest version published on the website will apply from the effective date shown at the top of the policy.
